It’s that time again! We would love to invite all those at St Barnabas, to join us for a BBQ... Last year we had seven BBQ’s and over 300 people join us. This year we are trying to include even more of the community by holding a BBQ at several different venues. So here are the details for those to be held at the Rectory (Glaston Hill Road):-
Please let us know if you are wishing to attend by contacting Alison at 'Alison"@"TheSaunders.plus.com' (remove quote marks) There are BBQs being held within the community at other venues (details in the Newsletter). Please do come to one of these events if you possibly can. Wouldn’t it be great for the community if every road had a street party every year. There is a long way to go but this is a start. Let’s see if we can live out in practice Jesus command to “Love our neighbours as we love ourselves” and a first step towards that is to know our neighbours name and to eat with them. I honestly believe that creating good community is as simple as that. Let’s start by eating together. After all, that’s not too hard is it? Mike Saunders |
